Husky Safari
Did you know that huskies love to run? You’ll experience this firsthand when you join our Husky Safari near Ivalo. Our guide will ensure everyone is warmly dressed, provide a brief introduction to handling the sled, and then you’ll set off through beautiful forests and around small lakes. After the adventure, enjoy coffee or tea while listening to stories about the sled dogs and the work that goes into caring for them.
Two people share one sled and take turns driving.

Ice Fishing Trip by Snowmobile Pulled Sledge

Your adventure begins with a scenic snowmobile ride to the frozen Ivalo River, while you relax comfortably in a sled and take in the pristine snowy landscapes. Upon arrival, your experienced guide will introduce you to the art of ice fishing and share local tips and techniques.
Drill your own hole in the thick ice and try your luck fishing in the crystal-clear Arctic waters – you might even catch your first fish! As you enjoy the peaceful surroundings, warm up by an open campfire with a hot drink served by your guide.

A Moment with Reindeer
Join us on this unique experience near Ivalo, where you’ll meet reindeer and the wonderful couple who runs the reindeer farm.
“Our reindeer roam freely within a large enclosure, where you can feed and photograph them. Surrounded by these gentle animals, enjoy coffee or tea by an open fire as we share stories about seasonal reindeer herding and life with reindeer in the Lapland fells. You’ll also get to try your hand at throwing a traditional reindeer lasso, a tool used by reindeer herders for generations.”

Reindeer farm visit
During this short visit near Ivalo, you’ll have the chance to take photos and feed reindeer.

A Day of Sámi Culture in Inari Village
Immerse yourself in the rich culture and history of the Sámi people, and explore the natural beauty of Lapland on a scenic day trip from Ivalo. We’ll visit the Sámi Museum and Nature Center “Siida” in Inari Village, then take a short walk to the Jäniskoski hanging bridge.
The scenic drive to Inari takes about 30 minutes each way, offering beautiful views along the way – so take a good position and enjoy the scenery. The price includes transportation and admission.

King Crab Expedition to the Barents Sea
A totally unforgettable experience awaits you on the frozen fjords of Kirkenes, Norway. This is your chance to catch, learn how to cook, and most importantly eat this mysterious creature.
The Arctic King Crab is one of the most sought-after meals in top restaurants, and here, you get to eat the best and the freshest, pulled from the fjord right in front of your eyes.
You’ll take part in helping to saw a hole in the ice and bring up the catch, then watch as your master guide prepares the crab. You’ll be taken by snowmobile sledge – an experience in itself – to a beautiful farmhouse by the lake. Please note: this tour is done by snowmobile (the fisherman drives, and guests ride in a sledge behind), not by divers or by boat.
Available: December 1st – March 30th / Every Tuesday
Price: 390€ / person
Duration: Safari 3-4 hours + 4-hour drive to Kirkenes each way
Departure: From our resort in Ivalo at 6:00 AM, return around 6:30 PM
Includes: We stop for breakfast on the way to Kirkenes, the King Crab Safari and a light King Crab meal, thermal clothing for the safari. On the way back, we stop at a restaurant for sautéed reindeer soup, plus transfer.
